What are your plans for dinner this week?
Monday : chili!
Tuesday : more chili!
Wednesday: I've been wanting to try homemade fish fingers, so we might do that
Thursday : bean burgers
Friday - sunday : leftovers
Re: monday meal planning
Dad made a crockpot full of pulled pork. When that's done, I'm making chicken and orzo pasta dish. If we still need dinners, black bean chilli freezer meal.
I actually have something planned!!!
Tonight is marinated London broil with salad
Tomorrow is honey stout chicken with veggies
The rest of the week will be some sort of chicken and veggies since we are doing the paleo-ish diet.
Tuesday: corned beef cabbage
Wednesday/Thursday/Friday: Hello fresh meals: chicken fajitas OR Swedish meatballs OR shrimp gyozas
We joined hello fresh last week since we can never decide what to make and then eat out. It worked out pretty well last week and now we have new recipe ideas.
Week of March 15th-Monday- tuscan bean soup (½ recipe) (H in Philly)
Tuesday- getting Thai food w/ a friend (H in Philly)
Wednesday- Wegmans mojo pork tenderloin, yellow rice, roasted carrots
Thursday- lemon & garlic tilapia, brown rice, roasted brussels sprouts
Friday- double date w/ another couple
Saturday- meatball minestrone soup & garlic bread
Sunday- homemade pizzas
Monday- Hamburgers and leftover potatoes and veggies from the chicken.
Tuesday- Chicken and broccoli
Wednesday- Buffalo wings
Thursday- @xxjen015's General Tso's chicken (never got a chance to make it)
Friday- Possibly Gnocchi. Still looking for some good meat free dishes.
Saturday- @minionlover's chicken skewers. I read this thread while starving and almost went out to get ingredients for that.
@ramstein1017 and @magpie87 Last Friday we decided to go out to eat so H could have meat. I wanted penne vodka, which normally has meat in it. I asked the waitress and she said no. There was definitely meat in it. I realized it after a bite or 2, but still ate it because I was starving and didn't want to wait for another meal. I feel super guilty now. A trip to confession is definitely in order this week (I also haven't gone to Mass in weeks because I have needed to go to confession).
Do catholics not eat meat on certain days?
@minionlover I can't wait to hear how tasty they are!
@xxjen015 I made the General Tso's today. I hated it. Maybe I didn't do something correctly. I may try again to make it, but this is definitely not a crock pot meal. If I do make it again, it will be in the wok. I'll let you know if I give it a second try.
