Two things Tuesday

We haven't done anything like this in a while.

1. Things seem to be changing at J's company, but it should be good things for the most part.

2. I'm having a better time at my job now that the kids switched classes. I no longer have the one class that was out of control for me.

Re: Two things Tuesday

  • Yay for both of yours!!!

    1) P's regional manager is visiting today and tomorrow.  He's here for meetings with some of the bigger clients, but I'm hoping he has a sit down with the local manager.  If things don't change much, P will be looking for another job at the end of April.

    2) I start my first shift for ETS this weekend.  I'm excited to finally be on the schedule, but nervous about it too.  A good nervous.

  • 1) I have a sinus infection. I went to the doctor and the person I ended up seeing ended up being the same lady from last summer that gave me antidepressants without waiting for the blood tests to come back. I felt so weird seeing her again and made sue I told her I never took the Zoloft because the Thyroid meds worked. It looks like she may be my new doctor now because my other doctor moved.

    2) I've finally decided to tell my mom Abby is sleeping fine because she always tells me I should use cry it out or that Abby can't be sleeping so poorly when she goes to school. Really??  Ugh! On that note Abby had a rough night last night tossing and turning until she was up for good a little after 3. She just went down for a nap now.

    2. D is leaving for Vegas tomorrow until Saturday so it will be me and the 3 kids home alone for the first time.
  • 1. Home inspection went well. We are still buying.

    2. I can't wait for spring break to get here next week!
  • Michelle- You'll be fine.

Megan- I didn't sleep through the entire night until I was like 8. So don't listen to that. Sorry to hear about the doctor though.

Aleigha- I am sure you will do fine with the kids. Do either of the big siblings help?

    Amber- Yay!!!

Jen- Me too. I need a break. Sadly, it's only one day, but I'll take it!

  • Megan - I agree on the sleeping through the night thing.  I think it's overrated and over hyped.  Honestly for a baby to sleep 6 hours straight - that can be considered sleeping through the night even if the end of the 6 hours is at 2 am.  For a toddler, I don't know what sleeping through the night is.  Lily still wakes up at least once most nights around 2-3.  The other night she slept until 6:15 am and I was the one tossing and turning from 2 on waiting on her to wake.  On the other hand she hasn't been going to sleep until 10-10:30 all week and I'm so done with it.  I'm tempted to skip her nap today to get her back to bed a a decent time.  She's been taking longer naps to make up for going to bed so late.  Yesterday she took a little over 3 hour nap.  Ugh.  I have learned never to judge a parent on what time their kid goes to bed and if they sleep through the night or not.  From the outside you don't know the circumstances.  Every kid is different.

So hugs!!!!!  And yes I started telling our families that Lily was doing great when they asked about her sleeping.  To me she is doing great.  I just never explained that my great was different from what they were actually asking. :)

  • @shellyamf Thank you for all your insight as to what Lily is doing. Abby goes to bed between 9 and 10. I had it right at 9 and a little before right before the time change, but then the time change happened and I got sick so I am not worrying about it so much right now. Oh and I have to study for my exam so I am letting DH do bedtime (AKA driving her in the car until she is asleep). I want to have him try at home, but there is no way I would be able to study then. Once my sinus infection is cleared up and I take my test in another 2 weeks I will start really getting bedtime back on track. Toddler sleep is tricky! Hugs back to you.

@Imperiumwife My DH didn't seem to be as worried about the doctor thing as I was. He says this is a totally different thing and I can trust her. I just shouldn't trust her on anything psychology related. Now that we know I have a problem with my thyroid there are blood tests for what "normal" is and they are pretty clear cut. I am sure I will still be a little nervous when I see her again. I will just have to get over it.

  • Now all my family will be out of town with the funeral. I will be fine. I made it through night one alone.

I'm glad to hear that you made it through one night!
