Hey Guys

It is tigerfighter, apparently got locked out of both my logins and the rest link is not working.  So this is my new sn.  So I did a bit of a backslide and got into a litle more credit card debt.  My goal is to have it almost paid off by the end of the year.  (Most of this debt came from trying to start selling Pampered Chef and have yet to make any real money from that but have a nicely stocked kitchen - addicted to stoneware).  I did pick up a second job that is here and there for additional money (shot girl in a club which provides decent money as I made $160 my first night).  I no longer have my crazy gym payment and have a dvd program that I can use for now and find work outs on Pinterest.  I did have to cut my race schedule as a result from 11 races to 7, which currently 4 are paid for.  For my birthday I do plan on using my birthday money for a big ticket race of next year - Disney Princess Half Marathon.

So my financial break down is $1,100 a month for expenses not including debt, income is $1,800 no over time.  I finally got a non-overtime to be able to figure out that amount.  $1,100 includes all monthly living expenses including food and gas, which means I can put $600-700 into debt and use  the shot gig for savings and additional debt money.  I feel like I keep over thinking and analyzing my situation.  I know I can do it, it is just cracking down and not being as tight on my budget, which caused me to go spend happy and we were in over time for months and I had the whole I have been working really hard and I deserve this. It is time to focus on the big picture.  Oh and still driving my civic and going to keep repairing her until something really big breaks, ie needs a new motor.

Re: Hey Guys

  • Glad you are back!  Sorry about the pampered chef experience.  That totally sucks you had to go in debt for it.  Just consider it a life experience I guess.

  • Welcome back! We all have setbacks but sounds like you have a good plan to turn things around.

Races are such a drain! I want to do a few halfs this year but they're all so pricy so I'm really limiting myself to top priorities. I'd love to do a Disney one someday, that will be really fun! I think if I ever try a full marathon I'd do that one, but it's a big if.
  • Welcome back! Sounds like you are getting back on your feet! Sounds like the second job will help you! Good luck!
  • Welcome back.  I tried the independent sales thing, spent a lot on inventory, maybe made an extra $200 one year.  I'm currently trying to purge my inventory, I love using the products for myself, but it seems the only way to make a decent income is to have some team members in addition to building a customer base.

  • Welcome Back!

  • Thanks, I am definitely going to try and be around more.

XStatic...if I recall you are local to me, right.  Right now Bristol and Newport Half marathons are about $60-$70 for entry fees.  Bristol is end of June and Newport is Columbus Day Weekend.  Also if you like OCR, Mudderella is in Thompson this year.

My favorite race this year has to be my last one...Devil's 6.66 Miler up in Salem.  Booking a hotel for the weekend up in the Reading area.
