Re: Mommy & mommy 2 be!

  • Age: 12 days old

Best part of the week: We started supplementing formula at night and she actually sleeps a few hour stretches. GLORIOUS!!

Worst part of the week: In one night, our newly renovated basement flooded from our washing machine over flowing, our dog then had a seizure that lasted about 6 minutes and all on Sunday night which was our last night before DH went back to work.

Milestones: She is having no problem switching from bottles to breast. Makes life very easy

Pip: my litte morning snoozer. She always eats and falls asleep in 20 minutes every morning.

Such a rough night! Is your pup okay?

No real cause. He doesn't have them enough for the dr to put him on meds either so it's just something we need to deal with every few months.

  • @oohsparkly13 - could you ask your mom or friend who is a mom to go to the store with you, get the scanner and just have them pick out a lot of things that you need? Then you can go online and change things out as you feel like it, but at least you have some things on there when the invitations go out!

  • @OohSparkly13 I started off by adding everything to my shopping cart and printed that out. I then went over it with DH and THEN we went to the store. I ended up editing the whole registry online bc the store was more overwhelming for me.
Try just starting with the big items and then work your way to smaller things.

That's a good idea. I hadn't really thought of that. My mom is too far away but I could definitely ask my friend to go with me.

I think part of my problem was that I tried to start with smaller things because I thought that would be easier than deciding on big ticket items but there is just sooo many small things, lol. I'll try your way of starting with the bigger items and go from there.

    Thanks for the advice, ladies!

@Aimothy I had someone at work like that too! Her perfume was awful! I kept a large file folder on my desk so I could wave it around if she walked by. I wasn't discreet about it at all.

  • @aimothy - IF brain SUCKS. I'm glad you are able to push past it and see the positive though. I'm sure Vincent is happy and healthy in there and maybe was just taking a nap!

Jim kept telling me this was a good sign that he's going to be a chill baby.  But I was like," I don't want a chill baby on the INSIDE! I need that kid kicking and annoying the hell out of me everyday. He can be chill after birth!"

  • @Aimothy I totally hear you. Especially after everything that has happened, it is so scary. I keep telling this baby to move around as much as he wants and continue to remind myself that babies sleep 10+ hours and sometimes are just quiet. Just stay positive and remember that he is growing and you are going to be a fantastic mommy!

  • @aimothy I remember between 28-30 weeks, Aria was barely moving and right when I was about to freak out, she'd move just enough to justify me not calling in.  It was very frustrating.  Hang in there!  Not much more time to wait for your LO to get here. :)

    For Mommies-to-be:

How many weeks are you? 34w2d

    When is your EDD? 05/04

How are you feeling? Good but tired.  We went on vacation last week and I ended up getting the stomach flu the 2nd night in and then got a cold the day before coming home.  It was rough and I was so happy to be home!  Cold is just about gone, so hopefully it doesn't linger for too much longer.

    What are you craving? Nothing.

What is grossing you out? Nothing.

Have you bought/received anything for the baby lately? My 2nd cousin gifted us a diaper pail and one of H's friends gave us some sleepers, a teething necklace, paci's, and some breastfeeding accessories.  I'm hoping to order the rest of the needed items from my registry this week.

Ultrasounds? Betas? Appointments? Appt today at 3:30.  Last time I was measuring big, so we'll see where I'm at this week.

Have you / will you found out the sex? Team Pink

Any names picked out? Aria Isabella

How is the nursery coming along? PIPs? Themes? Still need to work on the bedding.  I was hoping to get started on it this past weekend, but since I got sick, all I did was lay in bed.  Maybe I'll get to it this weekend, but we've got a lot going on so doubtful.

Anything else you would like to add or PIP?
