The Perilous Sea is an extraordinarily entertaining fantasy novel.  It's Part 2 of the series that began with The Burning Sky.  We pick up almost where we left off, but the plot alternates between "7 weeks ago" and "present." We also continue to switch between Fairfax and Titus' POVs. The Perilous Sea enjoyed a little more romance than the first part in the series, but it did not undermine the nail-biting plot. I finished the novel in less than 24 hours and at the expense of several fingernails. It was so exciting! I can't wait for The Immortal Heights on Oct. 13. It's going to be one hell of a conclusion, nothing but action packed.

You've convinced me. I took a class from Sherry Thomas a while back and I've been meaning to try this series. Now this is bumped up toward the top of my never ending TBR pile.
