Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

Re: Mommy and M2B Monday

  • Anything else you would like to add or PIP? We have an expectant parent visit with a pediatrician on Wednesday. Since baby will be ~2.5 months when we move out of the area, I had a friend recommend her pediatrician and figured we'll probably just go with her as long as we like her, rather than interviewing a handful for just 3 visits with LO. But we still want to have good questions for her. We have some lists from books and the internet to sift through, but I thought I'd ask you ladies as well - what were/are your biggest questions?

I'm a FTM, but from research I did and the classes we took, they suggested asking about their after hours policy, how the intake process is for newborns, where they stand on vaccinations, and if they had weekend hours.  Some places charge for after hours calls, so you'll want to make sure you are ok with whatever fee they charge.  As for the intake process, you want to make sure they either put you an exam room right when you get there or they have a separate entrance for newborns.  You don't want to be in a waiting room with a bunch of sick kids and a newborn.
