H never had braces. His teeth are pretty good.
I think I answered this in my mind but never typed it out lol.
Neither had them, but H needed to. Actually, he probably needed a reconstruction of his jaw, but didn't do it.
ETA - Army was going to do it, but they said it was a 2 year recovery!
Okay, as someone who has had the surgery, there is not a two year recovery. It doesn't take a long to be able to eat certain foods again, like bagels, apple or carrots. I originally had a workup done by a local surgeon who said that he would absolutely not take my case and told me not to go to any doctor in my county. I ended up going to a surgeon that was over an hour away and it was totally worth going to him.
I have to admit it is a big surgery with certain risks. I personally have no feeling in my lower lip, some of portions of my gums and half the roof of my mouth.
