Nail Polish

What is you favorite nail polish brand?

I need a pedicure and I want to bring my own polish.  I always feel pressure to pick out my polish when I get to the place and I am kinda picky on color, (it must be in the blue family).

Re: Nail Polish

  • Essie or OPI.  I always bring my own bc I have a very specific color in mind when I go.

  • Ditto to the above. I'll add that I got a sample of Ruffian nail polish in my Birchbox awhile ago and I was super impressed with how long lasting that was.

  • Zoya and Julep are my favs. They are very long lasting but you can't find them locally a lot. I shop online.

Otherwise OPI and Essie. I try to stay away from cheaper brands because they have more chemicals and don't last as long.

When I was able to use nail polish, I mostly used Essie.  There were a few OPI colors I liked, but Essie I think has more variety.  I feel OPI is a little higher quality and lasts longer though.

ETA- I always used to bring my own polish to the nail salon.  They put a lot of thinners in the polish in salons because it thickens from being opened and closed frequently.  The thinners really damage your nails.
  • So I went to Ulta the other night to pick out polish and I ended up getting China Glaze. I was not happy with the selection of blues that they had there for Essie and OPI but this is what got. I am returning the blue because it is way too dark.

  • @minionlover try No Room for the Blues by OPI if you want something lighter :)

  • @ramstein1027 - I'll have to look for that. I'm hoping that there will be better colors coming out for summer.
