Have you ever had a cheating dream?
...one in which you cheat on your husband? (Not just a sex dream, but a cheating dream.) I had one last night and I woke up feeling horribly guilty. It's an hour later and I still feel awful. I know it was just a dream, but I can't shake the guilt.

My dream wasn't with anyone I know, but I have had one dream before when it was someone IRL.
I have these dreams, both him cheating on me and me cheating on him. I chalk it up to us being apart so much. Sometimes it is cheating w/ someone I dated in the past, sometimes someone unfamiliar to me. It is amazing how dreams have a hold when you wake up and can't let it go...that guilty feeling. Then I talk to DH and it fades away.
I've had them where DH cheated or I cheated. The guys I cheated with were usually exes who I dated in HS.
Yes, I have all kinds of crazy dreams of things that I would NEVER do in real life. Sometimes nasty stuff.
I do occasionally wake up made at DH about a dream and I have to remind myself he is innocent, lol.
I have the weirdest dreams all the time, lol, though most of the time they are more like stories that are bizarre, but could almost be within the realm of reality. And what is even worse is I often remember them along with lots of details.
My DH jokes that I should become a novelist or a screenwriter and make a fortune just polishing up my crazy story dreams, lol.
But, to answer the question, I had a cheating dream once about someone I knew IRL. He is married also and both my DH and I know the other couple. It wasn't a sex dream (thank goodness) but, in the dream, he and I kept secretly meeting for lunch and plotting how we could continue our affair without our spouses finding out. It was so disconcerting and creepy! Even more so because I have no attraction for this guy IRL, I'm sure that feeling is mutual, and we have never even remotely flirted.
When I was younger, I had a cheating dream on my b/f at the time. This one was way off the deep end and could be one of my "movie script" dreams, lol. I was having an affair with the PM of England. He didn't look like the actual PM of England, apparently just a face I made up. However, the dream was more about that our affair had just been discovered and was a big international incident. I instantly went from "ordinary person" to my face plastered on the front page of newspapers all over the world.
