Re: FFFC

  • I hate my job. I'm ready for it to be next year, so I can be done and be a sahm.

I feel very lost in my life right now. I can't even seem to find time to update my resume so I could even get another job...

  • Alyssa you and I are in the same boat about job.

I went back to work at my part time job on Monday. I was excited the first 3 days then yesterday I ended up working all of my day off. So basically I have put in 4 days only being paid for 1. That is creating some resentment. I promised myself that I would keep boundaries. Again here we are and I'm giving my all for the company's benefit not my own.
  • Hugs to both of you.  I know P can really relate.  He wants to find another job, but he hasn't updated his resume or started looking.  I think he is a little over-whelmed about job hunting.  I know I've never enjoyed it.

My FFFC would be that my shift for tomorrow was cancelled and I'm happy about that.  It's easy money and I know I'll probably wish it hadn't been cancelled later this week.  But it's nice to have the whole weekend free.  Who doesn't love a "day off".

  • My stress level is completely through the roof.

Between school, living with my in laws, buying the house, trying to get stuff around for our vacation, driving 45 minutes to work every day and still healing from losing our peanut, it's been tough.

All I want to do is spend time with Ty, but all he does is come home, play video games till 5am then sleep until twenty minutes before he leaves for work. Or he will sleep on the weekends until 3-4pm. I told him this needs to change, especially since I am not going to be stuck being the maid in the new house like I was in the apartment. I'm the one that is handling this entire process because he can't get up at a decent time to make phone calls. A serious discussion needs to happen.

    Okay, I'm done.

  • Sorry girly, that sounds rough. It sounds like your H is dealing with somethings right now.
  • Hugs!!!  I agree that it sounds like he is dealing in his own way.  Which doesn't make it fair to leave you to take care of everything.  I think your vacation will be a great time for you two to connect and get away from all the other stress.

  • Thanks.
I wanna think that this is just a phase and way he's dealing with everything. But, he's been like this since we got married. That's what makes it frustrating to me.

Hoping maybe a nice talk and vacation will help.

  • That sounds a lot like J used to be. He changed when he moved, because he felt like he finally was an adult and it was his thing to take care of now. More than likely, it is his escape. If you try to approach it from an understanding point, instead of getting angry, you are much more likely to get him to adapt.

  • J did the same things when we were first together.  He has gotten better with a lot of talking and explaining that I feel "left out"
