I had a check-up with my rheumatologist Friday to go over what he sees as the plan going forward. Last November, I had mentioned to him that we'd like to start trying for children this summer. He kept me on my meds through the winter and then told me to half the dosage in March. He wanted to see how I was doing both during and after the winter.
It went much better than I had hoped. I AM OFF MY MEDS!!!!!! He did say that the "bad" medication has a half life of 5 days, so to definitely wait at least 25 days. That's not a problem.

I still have Mirena and don't plan on getting it out until the end of May. I will have to find a new OB/GYN in my new area (we move May 2nd closer to DC), but I'm nervous/excited about all of this.
So is DH. He actually asked when we can start trying. This from the man who was hesitant when we first met about children. He's been the one to set the "schedule" (within reason - I'm no spring chicken), and he has surprised me at every turn.
I will probably have questions as we start. I can't express how glad I am that I've been around and learned from some of you ladies what to do, what to read, etc.
