1st Communion Gift - How much?
DH & I are attending a 1st Communion party and were planning on just giving a check for a gift. I was just wondering, what an acceptable amount would be? He was thinking $25 and I was thinking more of $50. Is $25 too cheap? TIA!
Re: 1st Communion Gift - How much?
I think $25 is a fine and generous gift for a FC or for a HS graduation of a non-relative. Not that you asked about HS graduation, but I consider these two events to be similar gift giving occasions and thought I'd throw it in for reference.
Also fine for a relative, but some people (including me) go higher for nieces/nephews, etc.
What would you spend on a Christmas or Birthday gift for this person?
You could also do a GC to a local Christian bookstore. They do carry items whether they be music, books, or other items like jewelry that are appealing to the younger shopper.
