Re: Happy early Friday!

  • I love doing these early - I'm never online on Fridays so I always miss out!

I'm reading A Reunion of Ghosts by Judith Claire Mitchell (amazing)
Jane Eyre (I love it but it's taken me forever - I'm about to reach a 150 page span of unrelenting sadness and I'm dreading it)
Rejoicing in Lament (another amazing book)
Homemakers: A Domestic Handbook for the Digital Generation (meh)
The Alphabet House (not far enough in to tell)

They'll be numbers 61-65 towards my goal of 150.

I'm rereading Poison Princess by Kresley Cole and loving it again. I was going to keep going to reread the other two books in the series, but I just got a notice that Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas is ready for me at the library, so I think I'll check that out next.

I'm also listening to Rapture in Death by JD Robb, but my phone is going from 100% to 13% charged after two texts lately so I haven't been able to listen the past few days. :(

  • I'm reading Heir of Fire (#3, Throne of Glass) by Sarah J. Maas. It's starting to get better, the beginning was a bit dreary. It's #19/50 for the year.

Maybe a Reunion of Ghosts? Julie is liking that one. I still have the second half of The Bullet to slog through. I've been sick, and super busy to boot, this week, and I haven't been able to read as much as I like.

  • I'm slogging my way through The Time Traveler's Guide to Elizabethan England by Ian Mortimer. I'm just not very motivated to read right now.

  • Still working on All the Light We Cannot See. It's good but taking me a while to get through it. I hope to finish in the next day or two, I am around 70% done right now.

I plan to start The Ruby Circle this weekend, I checked it out from the library and haven't gotten to it yet. It is due back Monday so I need to get to it!

  • I finished up Boy meets Boy this morning.

I am working on The Omnivore's Dilemma and loving it.  Although all these kind of books about where our food comes from makes me never want to eat ever again.

I also started The Burgess Boys by Elizabeth Strout yesterday but I think I am going to abandon it for something a bit more interesting because it is not keeping my attention whatsoever.

  • I just finished Seduction and Snacks by Tara Sivec. It was #36 for the year. I thought it was pretty funny, although the humor felt really forced in some parts. If you don't like frat-boyish humor, you probably wouldn't like it. I don't have the energy right now to read anything with real depth, so I have been reading mostly fluff lately. I'll snap out of it soon, I hope. :)

How did you like this one? I have had it on my TBR for a while, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I just finished up a re-read of I'll Give You the Sun, which I love so much.

I have In The Woods (Dublin Murder Squad #1) by Tara French that I just downloaded, but I've only read the first few pages. It looks really good.
  • I'm struggling through Lover Reborn, it's finally getting interesting, it is #24 for the year.

I'm also listening to The Seventh Sinner, it is #25 for the year, it is alright but it was free from the library.

It was ok.  I liked it enough but I certainly didn't Love it.  But it was a nice, quick, easy read.

I am just about to finish At The Waters Edge by Sara Gruen. I love it.
I started the newish Jandy Nelson book on audio this morning. To early to have an opinion.
  • I am between books at the moment, but looking to pickup the sequel to Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs soon. I think I'm around 65 books for the year.
