Stinky House

It seems to me that every time we cook with onions, our house smells for the next 2 days.  Does anyone have any tips or tricks for getting rid of the smell?  I don't really want to use air fresheners that would just cover it up, you know?

Re: Stinky House

  • I've tried the trick of boiling water and vinegar on the stove. You need to watch it and keep adding to the pan.

  • I have a terrible sense of smell!! I've never noticed this

    Ha! Me too!

Also I feel like the answer is always vinegar or coconut oil

    You've
tried it, but did it work?
  • Haha...yeah. But I used it b/c we had been on vacation and the house had been closed up and just had a "stale" smell if that makes sense. So it wasn't for cooking odors. Cooking smells don't seem to bother me.
