Listened to I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson. I should finish it today.
I started reading Blurred Lines by C.m Cummings. Who happens to be a girl I used to work with and connected with after the fact in an Outlander fan group. It is okay so far.
  • I finished The Shadows this weekend.  I won't comment here. I reviewed on Goodreads. I have major feelings about this one.

Yup!  I liked the first in the series better than the second, but it's a nice break from her UF/Paranormal series, much as I love them.

I barreled through the end of my reread of Poison Princess then tried to start The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas, but I only got about 7% in before I had to switch to a reread of Endless Knight. This series is so addicting, I want to shirk all of my responsibilities when I read it even when I know what's coming.

I think I'll probably like Burning Sky once it really gets going, but there is so much world building at the beginning that I was getting antsy. That and I'm obsessed with the Arcana Chronicles and had to get back to it.

  • Finished Gods in Alabama and progress on The Nightingale. Gave Gods in Alabama 4 stars. It wasn't amazing but it was easy and entertaining. Still working on getting really into The Nightingale but I hear it's really good. I am about 150 pages in but the first 100 I read over a long period of time.

  • I ignored all the books.

  • I finished Kingdom Keepers I: Disney after Dark. Parts of it were creepy! It definitely had problems, but it was a fun quick read for Disney freaks.

I also picked "A Man Called Ove" back up, and I'm so glad I did. Throughout the first half of the book I was like, ok, we are following a curmudgeonly middle aged man (I still maintain that 59 is not OLD) as he bumbles around. You won't like him much in the beginning. But this story is more than that. Loved it. All the feels.

How are you liking this one? I really liked the first book, but haven't picked that one up yet.

  • I finished Stolen (Women of the Otherworld #2) Friday morning.  Eh, don't think I will continue on with the series.  I then proceeded to ignore reading for the rest of the weekend.  We just weren't home at all.

This was a book wrap-up weekend for me. I finished Brown Girl Dreaming, Rapture in Death and my reread of Endless Knight. I've also made it about 30% into the Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas. I like it, but it's also slow in parts and the footnotes drive me crazy. I feel like I have to read them to get the backstory on all of the magical stuff, but I just want to keep going with the story.
