Semi-permanent "housing"

Well y'all, it looks like I'll be spending the rest of my pregnancy in the hospital. I had massive bleeding again Wednesday, and the doctor decided it would be best that I just stay here. She is hoping that I get to 34 weeks (I'm currently 30), and just go from there. Baby continues to look good, but they still cannot find a reason for the bleeding. The nurses have been great, and they have given me a pretty good sized room. My two showers that I am supposed to have next week are now moved to the hospital. We also will be doing some quick maternity pictures here with a photographer. While this is not what I had planned, I am happy that baby continues to be healthy. It is also nice to hear his heartbeat on the monitor 3 times a day. DH tries to come as much as he can, and I've already had some friends stop by. P art of me is upset that I can't even have a "normal" pregnancy, but I continue to remind myself that I am still pregnant and IVF worked. Sorry for all the rambling, and thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.

  • I am so sorry you to hear you have to remain in the hospital but at least your baby is healthy. I hope being in the hospital will at least help control the bleeding more. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!

  • Sorry you are stuck in the hospital, but look at it this way - this is the best place for you to be right now. I know it sucks, but trust me, you'll be thankful to be there in case shit happens. I'm not sure what kind of work you do, but can you maybe work remotely from the hospital? But honestly, I think your health is more important at this point though, so I wouldn't worry too much about the job.

Hopefully the bleeding stops and the baby can stay in there for another few weeks....
