I'm really struggling to focus today. H is contacting our vet today to discuss our cat's health and likely pick a day to "let him go." Our cat is 9 years old and was diagnosed with diabetes in October. He does not respond to insulin. He was also informally diagnosed with feline cushings disease. The full diagnosis and surgery was quoted to be a few thousand dollars and not very successful so we opted not to do it. We've been accommodating him as much as possible: Rx food, medications when needed, vet appts for check ups and blood work. He has neuropathy in his back legs and it's getting worse. He's still so cuddly and sweet. His personality is awesome. He just needs a new body.
Sorry for the long rant. This is the first furbaby H and I have had together, just after getting engaged.
