Re: QOTD 4/28

  • I usually throw it in the dishwasher every once in a while, but I would say every couple months I guess. My OCD self has two sponges, one for dishes that dont go in the dishwasher and one for dishes that do, and yes I pre-wash my dishes before they go into the dishwasher!

  • Actually, H usually takes care of that. He's really good about changing the sponges...usually they're new or close to new. He's pretty OCD about that.

  • About twice a month. I usually try to drop it in the dishwasher at least once a week.

  • I put my dishcloths in the laundry after 2-3 uses. We have a kajillion of them, so I don't have to worry about running out if I don't get laundry done for a few days.

  • We usually only use scubbers. We pop 'em in the dishwasher once a month or so.

  • When it starts falling apart or smells...never even thought to throw them in the dishwasher occasionally !
  • When I remember. No idea the time line. I do put mine in the dishwasher or microwave for 15 seconds if I know it's getting older. And no dish cloths they smell like poo after one use and I hate laundry.
  • We replace the sponge once it starts falling apart, usually every 2 weeks or so.  I have a sponge system though.  It goes from dishes to sink cleaner to bathroom cleaner to garbage.
  • I throw mine away when they start to smell.  I never thought to put it in the dishwasher though.  I may have to try that.
