    H and I are doing a 3-day juice cleanse and until yesterday (day 1) I never realized how big of a part food plays in my life... I was practically drooling when I smelled people's lunches in the office and saw commericals for TGIFriday's endless apps. I am weak!

    I did the Whole30 a few months ago and I blown away at how much my life revolved around food.  I mean, it makes sense to a degree, but it was still eye opening.

    I downloaded a countdown app on my phone so I can see how many hours are left until DH comes home.  He's been gone since Monday morning and now I have a sick kid on top of it.

    Also, my dad tried to argue with me about how long the drive was.  Ummmm, you've driven it once and I've driven it 5 or 6 times.  I think I know what I'm talking about, jackhole.

    I'm being very vain and can't stop staring at my hair. My hairdresser colored my hair in these fantastic purples and blues and magenta and it's FAB.

    Do you have a dvd player in your vehicle?  If not, it is worth every single cent you spend to buy one of the dvd players that straps to the back of your headrest. You can buy them at Target or Walmart or any such store. The kids looooove watching movies on road trips. They don't care if they've already seen it 100 times - in the car, it's ahhhhmazing!

    Also, in your defense, a trip with a toddler does not include the same number, nor length, of stops as your dad could make it being a 50/60ish year old adult male. Hello, diaper changes (or holding your tot over the nasty gas station toilets)!

    We just did 23 hours.  Piece of cake!

    Actually, my kid did amazing (only two episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse watched!) and I hope J does just as well.

    I'm super lucky in that regard. I work for a high school District, and "showing your individuality" is pretty accepted for both the kids, and the adults. Tattoos, jeans, funky hair - it's all ok.
