Hello Newbie Here

Hello all! I'm a newbie to all of this. My DH and I will be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary this June and are in the very beginning stages of TTC our first child. (I'm 30 and he is 36), We waited so long because we wanted to make sure we going to stay put in location for more than a year (husband job moved us around a lot). In addition, my husband was afraid to have children. Now that he sees a lot of his friends getting married and having children he has finally gotten on board. We are in the process of trying to get health (mostly weight issues) under control and develop healthier eating habits. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Hello Newbie Here

  • Welcome and best of luck in your TTC journey!!

The biggest recommendation you'll get from this board is to read Taking Charge of Your Fertility. I'm reading it (in preparation for TTC in June) and it's very helpful.

OMG, I thought I was the only one who wasn't crazy about TCOYF ...

  • Welcome! My thoughts are to just have fun for a little bit. It doesn't have to feel like work unless you end up with difficulty (which hopefully you won't). Don't stress about it from the beginning.

Hello.  Most women on this board are trying to get pregnant.  You'd probably have better luck with your questions on the GP Moms page (link at the top of this page).
