Presidential challengers - recs for John Quincy Adams?

I looked at the blog and there were 4 reviews of 2 books, and everyone seemed to have really enjoyed what they read.  I know there are more than 4 of you that have read about JQA already, though.  I need help choosing which to read.  B&N has a 20% coupon today and I have a gift card, so I think I'll order tonight.

The two reviewed on the blog are JQA: A Public Life, A Private Life by Paul Nagel and JQA by Harlow Giles Unger.  They're only about 50 pages different in length, so I can't justify falling back on length to pick one.  I'm currently leaning toward Unger, just because it has a slightly higher GR rating and I've heard his name before.  But the Nagel book seems like it goes into JQA's personal life a little more, and that's something I've found that I really enjoy in reading about in these biographies.

So, which one?  Or if you read another JQA book, what was it and why did you like it?

If I remember, I liked the Nagel one okay. If I remember right, I ended up getting Nagel because it was on sale, LOL.

Hold on, I also just came across one that is coming out in paperback June 2015: John Quincy Adams: American Visionary by Fred Kaplan.  It's significantly longer than the other two, but the reviews are glowing.

Unger is on sale right now and would be the cheapest of the three.  You laugh, but that's totally a factor!

Oh, I'm only laughing because I do the same thing! :) I'm reading Nixon right now that I bought at a library book sale. I have no idea if it's going to be good, but it was only $1!
