Re: Weekend Reading

  • I finished rereading Unwind and moved onto Unwholly.
I completely neglected Dragonfly in Amber.  I want to read it because I want to know what happens, but I am having the hardest time with it keeping my attention.

  • I hosted a readathon for my book club on Saturday and not a single book was read by anyone.  We ate and drank and were merry, but not a stitch of reading happened.  I did finish make good progress on My Antonia, which I am super loving even though almost nothing has happened and I'm just about to finish.  I also started a book called Change of Heart, which is a memoir about a woman who lost her sister, brother-in-law, and their unborn child to a senseless murder.  She now advocates against the death penalty and against life sentences without parole for juveniles.  It was also amazing (finished last night).

  • Progress on The Nightingale, hoping to finish this week yet. It's good, I just have been reading it for awhile because I was reading small chunks at a time and not that into it until I started sitting down for longer periods to read it.

  • I barely read at all, but I did get through a bit of Omens by Kelly Armstrong.  Finally finished it Monday.
