How old are your LOs (Little Ones)? 7 months & some change

How do you feel? Good. Tired, but good.

Any Milestones this week? Her 2nd bottom tooth is coming through now, too. Also, she's so close to crawling. If she could just figure out how to move her hands forward, she'd have it! Oh yeah, and she had her first zoo trip last week!

Rants/Thoughts/Baby pics? I'm excited to see Pitch Perfect 2 this weekend, but I'm also a little nervous about leaving H with Wren for that long while she's teething. I'm sure all will be fine, but she can go from fine to not fine at all in a couple of seconds. Hopefully one of the grandmas can be "on call" to help him for those few hours, if needed :/

    ETA: zoo trip

@mana8503 O has no interest in crawling. She will crawl to the nearest object that she can pull herself to stand on and stand. I'm also not ready for a walker!

How do you feel? Ugh, both of us got a nasty cold.

Any Milestones this week? He can sit up on his own as long as he doesn't look up or reach for anything. He learned how to fake cough which is funny.

Rants/Thoughts/Baby pics? We just got home from the doctor, he was acting like he had an ear infection, nope. I feel like crap and we are supposed to go to a class so we can get him baptized. He's sick and I don't want to leave him. There's a ton of family coming in town for the funeral Friday and I just want to stay home with him so he can finally get better.
I'm out of supplement again so I have to go pick some up. I hate picking it up I feel like a failure while I stand in line and then cry in the car on my way home. Sorry for being so negative.
Positive I updated my siggy pic.

How do you feel? Exhausted. O has minor virus and H had strep throat. I feel like I've been run ragged.

Any Milestones this week? She clicks her tongue. It's so cute. If you click at her, she'll click back too. She is able to play with certain toys that she would just watch before. In the jumper she goes like a maniac, really gets height too. She goes in the walker but gets a little freaked out when she moves. She is starting to take food that is cut up small. She doesn't love it but she'll take it.

Rants/Thoughts/Baby pics? Last Sunday(not Mother's Day) we went to the zoo. A few hours after we got home, O was warm, around 100 temperature. Same thing when I came home Monday. The doctor said she was probably teething. The fever was 100 for most of the week. Thursday is went up to 102. H called and they said it was still probably teething. She threw up an entire bottle one morning last week. By the weekend she was fine. Her poop started to be very smelly and the color was strange. H called the doctor first thing yesterday and they were able to see is yesterday afternoon. They said she has a virus, but she's not dehydrated. I'm sure she picked it up at the zoo because she was touching things and putting her hands in her mouth, even though we tried to stop her.
Last night H gave her a bottle that was over an hour old. She threw up EVERYWHERE. It took me 2 hours to take apart and clean the high chair. I was so tired from it! I don't understand why they have a baby feeding item with so many crevasses.
  • @goatlady12 - YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE. You know what a failure is?  Not feeding your kid!  You are awesome and you're baby is growing and thriving because of it.

@goatlady12 you definitely aren't a failure! Giving your baby what he needs makes you an amazing mom! I am sorry that you're both sick. If your weather is anything like ours, no wonder you got sick. It's such different weather every few days, how can your body adjust? Hugs to you, you are amazing!!!

Ditto this, @goatlady12.  You are doing what you need to feed your son and that makes you a great mom.

  • @sjs1013 "liking" the pic of O, not that she's sick.  Hope she gets to feeling better!

How old is LO? 4 months
How are you feeling? Like my supply is dipping again. Also I need a me day.
Any milestones this week? He is trying to roll back to front. He is starting to sit unassisted. He doesn't sit for long but he will hold his feet to keep himself up for up to a minute. He started solids two weeks ago. We started with rice cereal and today we tried sweet potato. He didn't want to stop eating it.
Rants/thoughts/pics? Took him for a weight check he is still in the 3rd percentile. The doc said that at his 6 month visit if he is still low they might start to worry but he is still growing with the curve to he is fine.
Pic from trying sweet potatoes today.

  • @pengy16  I will nurse, give him 2 ounces of supplement and then pump for 10 minutes while chugging water.  I used to do it at every feeding, now I do it 3-4 times a day.  I average 8-12 ounces of supplement a day.  I know my supply has increased, but it's still not enough to feed him.  I hope your able to get your supply up.  It's really hard when you can't EBF and have to give formula.  I have a really hard time with it.  On the plus side, all that pumping, I have over 150 frozen ounces.
