We are in the planning stages of updating our bathroom. If you've purchased tile before, where did you get it? We've already looked at Lowes and Home Depot. Anyone purchase online?
Re: Bathroom Tile
I bought 12 x 12" tile from Home Depot (8 pieces) for my basement when we got new carpet, it's a walk out so we tiled in front of the sliding door. It's been amazing and it was realitively inexpensive. I also bought blacksplash tile from Lowe's that was very expensive ($13 per sheet) but well worth it for the kitchen. I'm the type of person that for a big decision like that I need to see it in store and possibly buy 1 piece then sit it where ever I'm planning to use it to make sure it's exactly what I want. You could do that online too, but I hate dealing with online returns personally.
Good luck!
I'm usually just a lurker, but thought I'd chime in since we JUST finished a major bathroom makeover in our house. We used Emser tile as well, and we're really happy with it. We got it from a wholesaler through the contractor we worked with for what we thought was a super reasonable price - the 12X12 floor tiles were less than $2 per square foot. The smaller tiles for the shower walls and the mosaic tile for the shower floor and kitchen backsplash were more, but overall, we were very pleased with both the price and the quality.
One thing about getting from a store where there's someone to help you - you're going to need grout as well, and there are SO many different shades of what you'd think is a basic color (like white or beige) that it's really hard to just pick something without having a basis for comparison. Just something to keep in mind!
