Weird Names in Books: A Court of Thorns and Roses Edition

I usually don't get hung up on unusual character names in books. But Feyre? How the heck am I supposed to pronounce this? Is it like fairy? Fair? Fire? Maybe it's explained somewhere in the book?
This has never happened to me before, but I've been less inclined to read this book despite my Sarah J. Mass love because that name and its spelling is so off-putting to my brain.
Has anyone else ever gotten hung up on a name like this before?

They say it in the very beginning! They pronounce it for you so you don't have to wonder.

    Fay-ruh.

I hate it, though. BUT I LOVED THE BOOK. Jesus I loved it.

There's also a pronunciation guide to names in the back of the book I think.

PLEASE keep reading this book. PLEASE. It was SOOOOOO good.

Such a bummer. I LOVE Sarah. She is SO nice and cool. And everyone seems to love this one. But...ugh.

If there was any fae book to give a try, this would be it!

Did you see Melificent? The world kind of reminds me of that.

This was my other misgiving. But I'm on the hold list at the library. I will definitely give it a try once it's available for me.

I'm the odd one out who likes fairie books, but only thought this one was ok. If Rhys plays a bigger role in the next book (I assume this is a series?) I will definitely read it. He was my favorite.
