Let's do the Personality type thing

Re: Let's do the Personality type thing

  • ISFP: The Composer

ISFPs are gentle caretakers who live in the present moment and enjoy
their surroundings with cheerful, low-key enthusiasm. They are flexible
and spontaneous, and like to go with the flow to enjoy what life has to
offer. ISFPs are quiet and unassuming, and may be hard to get to know.
However, to those who know them well, the ISFP is warm and friendly,
eager to share in life's many experiences.

ISFPs have a strong aesthetic sense and seek out beauty in their
surroundings. They are attuned to sensory experience, and often have a
natural talent for the arts. ISFPs especially excel at manipulating
objects, and may wield creative tools like paintbrushes and sculptor's
    knives with great mastery.

  • INTJ: The MastermindINTJs are analytical problem-solvers, eager to improve systems and processes with their innovative ideas. They have a talent for seeing possibilities for improvement, whether at work, at home, or in themselves.Often intellectual, INTJs enjoy logical reasoning and complex problem-solving. They approach life by analyzing the theory behind what they see, and are typically focused inward, on their own thoughtful study of the world around them. INTJs are drawn to logical systems and are much less comfortable with the unpredictable nature of other people and their emotions. They are typically independent and selective about their relationships, preferring to associate with people who they find intellectually stimulating.

It gave me EIGHT choices because I was right inbetween on everything but being an extrovert. I read them all and think I'm an ENTP- The Visionary.
  • INFP: The Healer
    INFP in a Nutshell
INFPs are imaginative idealists, guided by their own core values and beliefs. To a Healer, possibilities are paramount; the realism of the moment is only of passing concern. They see potential for a better future, and pursue truth and meaning with their own individual flair.

INFPs are sensitive, caring, and compassionate, and are deeply concerned with the personal growth of themselves and others. Individualistic and nonjudgmental, INFPs believe that each person must find their own path. They enjoy spending time exploring their own ideas and values, and are gently encouraging to others to do the same. INFPs are creative and often artistic; they enjoy finding new outlets for self-expression.

“You can have your wishes, your plans, but at the end of the day, it's out of your control"
    - Gayle Forman
"People talk about escapism as if it's a bad thing... Once you've escaped, once you come back, the world is not the same as when you left it. You come back to it with skills, weapons, knowledge you didn't have before. Then you are better equipped to deal with your current reality."

    I'm a **TJ
It considered me on the border for E/I and N/S.
    Commander, Supervisor, Mastermind, Inspector

The last time I took it, I got ENTJ (Commander), and a friend who was really into Meyers-Brigg had predicted I'd be ENTJ beforehand. I think I'm awfully close to an ESTJ (Supervisor), though.

Based on the different hells, all four of my hells are pretty bade, but I think the ESTJ hell sounds like the worst, followed by ENTJ.

I may be E-ish at work, but my I definitely comes out in social situations. In the party descriptions, I'm definitely more of an ISTJ or an INTJ.

  • ENTP: The Debater

The ENTP personality type is the ultimate devil's advocate, thriving on the process of shredding arguments and beliefs and letting the ribbons drift in the wind for all to see. Unlike their more determined Judging (J) counterparts, ENTPs don't do this because they are trying to achieve some deeper purpose or strategic goal, but for the simple reason that it's fun. No one loves the process of mental sparring more than ENTPs, as it gives them a chance to exercise their effortlessly quick wit, broad accumulated knowledge base, and capacity for connecting disparate ideas to prove their points.

  • I haven't done this in years - it gave me ESTJ. I rarely get a definitive answer on E/I because I am energized by being in groups and love being the center of attention, but I hate meeting new people/talking to strangers.

I used to be an N, but I do feel like given my career and life path in general, I've become more of an S.

T and J are me to the core. No waffling there :)

  • I received I, N or S, T or F, and J.  After reading the descriptions for the 4 categories, I believe I'm much more ISTJ "The Inspector" than the others.

ISTJs are responsible organizers, driven to create and enforce order
within systems and institutions. They are neat and orderly, inside and
out, and tend to have a procedure for everything they do. Reliable and
dutiful, ISTJs want to uphold tradition and follow regulations.

ISTJs are steady, productive contributors. Although they are
Introverted, ISTJs are rarely isolated; typical ISTJs know just where
they belong in life, and want to understand how they can participate in
established organizations and systems. They concern themselves with
maintaining the social order and making sure that standards are met.

  • ISTJ – You are expected to complete a highly esteemed project with absolutely no guidance as to what’s expected of you. --- this is pretty much my GIF scenario from yesterday's post. Definitely true.
ISTJ – Stays mostly sober and low-key judges everyone else for acting like a drunken idiot. --- also generally true

I HATE MBTI.  I am an ISTJ.  Our former director was obsessed with it and used to torture us with MBTI trainings ALL THE TIME.  It was awful.  She was also crazy so that made it worse.

    ISFJ: The Protector

ISFJs are industrious caretakers, loyal to traditions and
organizations. They are practical, compassionate, and caring, and are
motivated to provide for others and protect them from the perils of
    life.

ISFJs are conventional and grounded, and enjoy contributing to
established structures of society. They are steady and committed workers
with a deep sense of responsibility to others. They focus on fulfilling
their duties, particularly when they are taking care of the needs of
other people. They want others to know that they are reliable and can be
trusted to do what is expected of them. They are conscientious and
methodical, and persist until the job is done.

    INFP: The Healer

I'm a really strong introvert, but the others are more middle of the road.  I love taking these things, even though I generally get the same result every time.  It's still fun to me to take the tests and answer the questions, because it makes me think about how I see and react to the world as I'm taking it.

The "hell for an INFP" was not as cringeworthy for me as some of the others, though.
