What to bring to a gender reveal party?

I have never been to one, so I have no idea what to get. Do I get a baby item? Hostess gift? Help!

This is their 2nd baby. I don't think there will be a shower?

Re: What to bring to a gender reveal party?

  • Gender reveal parties aren't typically gift giving events, but if you don't want to show up empty handed I would keep it small.  A onsie, a card or maybe some flowers.  If you are close to the couple you  could do a card with a gift card inside.

  • Thanks, I didn't think it was a gift giving event, but wasn't sure. I like the flowers idea. Who doesn't like to get some flowers, right?
  • I have never been to one either, but I agree with @AprilZ81.

I don't think they are gift-giving events, but I never show up at someone's house empty-handed, so I would take something - a book for the baby, or flowers for the parents.

  • Reveal parties do not require gifts, as others have said. I would probably just bring a card or something tiny.

  • I gave and received books at ones I've been to/done. They're obviously gender neutral so you can't go wrong. :)
  • You could always do a package of diapers if you want to do something small, but I wouldn't feel obligated to bring anything.
