What's everyone doing this weekend?

I worked for a company a few years ago that switched to this kind of system. I thought it was great. More flexibility in when you took days off. But surprisingly, most of the other employees HATED it. Whenever a holiday was approaching, they would constantly complain about how "we didn't get any holidays". And I would point out, "Noooooo...we have just as much time off, except now we don't HAVE to use it for specific holidays." They understood it logically, but just didn't seem to get it emotionally.
With that said. What long holiday? Oh yeah. Memorial Day. The day everybody else gets off and I don't, lol. My company trades it for Mardi Gras. Which, I understand. Except we should have both off because we already don't get that many holidays. For example, we don't get President's Day or MLK Day either.
H and I's biggest hobby is boating. It's 100% not MM at all, but I'm convinced the kid has it in his blood. So we'll be spending the weekend on our boat.
We have some friends meeting us out on the water and coming along with us. It should be a fun time!
At some point I want to get my raised beds set up. I have lots of warm weather veggie starters inside and can't decide when to put them out. I should probably wait a week or two but keeping them happy inside is getting annoying.
I took Friday off work because I have a wedding cake to finish decorating and deliver that afternoon. I didn't realize it was Memorial Day weekend when I took it off though.
Saturday is our 6-year anniversary, yay! I think we are going to go shopping for a new dresser as an anniversary gift. We have been using a tiny kids-size dresser for about 10 years, so it's about time we get what we want. If we can't find what we want locally, we might drive to Denver over the weekend (6 hours). We are leaving for vacation May 30th so we didn't plan anything big for this weekend.
Re PTO: We have the kind of system where we just have a lump sum of PTO to use for holidays, vacation days, sick days, etc. I love the system; however, since I work at a bank we don't get the option of taking holidays off or not since we are closed those days.
The only thing we have planned is to go over to a friend's house on Saturday to help them build a playset for their daughter. I have a feeling it's going to mostly turn into the guys playing with power tools and us gals drinking mimosas but I'm looking forward to it.
Aside from that my in-laws are coming to visit next week and I've got a million things to do before they get here. Everybody decided to come visit us this summer so starting next week and going through mid July we're going to have house guests almost constantly (I think we have 2-3 days in mid June where we'll have the house to ourselves). I'm determined to enjoy my last quiet week before craziness takes over!
We have my brother's grad party on Saturday, church and brunch for my parent's 35th anniversary on Sunday as well as entertaining my in-laws. Hopefully on Monday we'll be guest-free so we can actually have a day off. I'd like to take advantage of flower sales and do some gardening. But, plans for when the IL's leave aren't set in stone yet so TBD on that one...
