The long lost 3T check in!

I'm sorry, I've been TERRIBLE with this lately. I think I needed a mental break for awhile. Sorry! I'll try to do better! No promises, but I'll try! :)

If you have any changes to this list, wish to be removed, added, or have graduated (yay!), please shoot me a PM.

FYI: We don't want to exclude people, but this is a check in for ladies who are unfortunately having trouble trying to conceive (TTTC = 3T). If you've been trying for more than a year and/or have been diagnosed with any form of infertility OR are now pursuing adoption OR have decided to remain childless following a 3T journey, you are welcome to join us.

Updates: Ok ladies... where are we at this week? Testing, Procedures, Appointments, Adoption updates, Life updates? What's going on, etc. Let's here all about it!!

Updates: nothing major really. My boobs have been hurting for a few days so I'm wishfully thinking that maybe I O'ed on my own for once. Otherwise, we're looking at probably end of summer/early fall for our last medicated cycle. If that fails, then I have no idea what we'll do because IVF is out due to finances.

QOTW: Going camping in the mountains! Otherwise, just hanging out around the pool all summer if it ever stops raining here!

I hope you did O!!!! That would be awesome!

    Anniversary

  • RAB sending you lots of love, always, but you know this! Kiss kiss hug hug!
  • I suck at losing weight and have actually gained a few pounds since February.  :(  Mindless eating and then stress/boredom eating after being laid off and being at home with nothing to do for 2.5 months.  I'm still out of work but I should be getting at least one possibly two offers next week.

We had an appointment with an RE a few weeks ago.  Blood work and ultrasound do point to the same PCOS diagnosis that I got from the OB/GYN.  I am NOT insulin resistant (yeah!!!) but due high testosterone and the high side of normal glucose RE started me on Metformin.  Thyroid is 2.88 so when I go back for CD3 testing they are going to do more testing on my thyroid to rule out issues there.  They did stress this is a precaution since the levels are normal by any other standards than for fertility.  DH had an SA done and we are waiting for the results.

I'm currently on CD111 and I have two more doses of Provera and then it is a waiting game for CD1.

We are trying to decide when to start Clomid (monitored properly by the RE).  Part of me wants to move forward NOW but the more practical side of me says that if we wait a few months due to starting a new job.

Job A is with the company I just left so I should be able to negotiate for them to honor my original start date for the purposes of vacation accrual/FLMA eligibility.  That would be awesome but I would still feel a bit guilty about starting a new job and then almost immediately need to take maternity leave.  On the flip side this is a virtual based position so the flexibility of not being in an office is a HUGE bonus.

Job B is a 5-8 month contract with the potential to be hired full time.  Getting pregnant during the contract would make it really easy for them to find an excuse to not bring me on full time.  I also wouldn't be eligible for benefits (specifically retirement and paid vacation).

Regardless, we have enough in savings right now to pay for deductibles and out of pocket maximums for us on DH's insurance so the new job shouldn't be the final decision on moving forward.

We can live on DH's salary alone, there just isn't a lot of extras in the budget without me bringing anything in.  Part of me wants to stay home with our kids and part of me wants to work.  Job A would give me the best of both worlds.  We could hire someone to nanny during my work hours but I would still be there during the day and not have to deal with commuting times.

Mmm... I think I'm moving backwards.  Diet changes?  Yeah, those went out the window after our cat passed away in September and I never got back into it.  I'm not really sure where DH and I stand on our TTC plans for the summer and I'm stalling on bringing it up because I don't think he's ready to move to an RE yet.

    So... stasis.
