If you were to drink milk , (or use it in something) what kind do you prefer?

  • We usually buy 2%.  We were doing 1%, but seems like the expiration is longer on the 2%.

  • 2%, and we're thinking of switching to all full-fat dairy-we already buy regular butter, cottage cheese, and sour cream.  I'd rather have the fat than the frankenstein ingredients they put in "low fat" stuff.

  • I only buy 2%. We only ever use the full fat dairy, for the same reason @ramstein1027 mentioned.  "Low Fat" is a bad phrase here!!

Oh, and to anyone drinking 1%...

  • We buy whole milk right now for J. But, before then, it was 2%. I refuse to buy two different kinds when I don't consume enough of it to not use the whole milk.

  • On those rare occasions that I actually drink milk or use it in cereal, I like skim. Anything else just tastes thick and gross to me in large quantities. For cooking, I'll use whatever the recipe recommends because I am ridiculously rigid about following them.

  • I like 2% typically. If I buy horizon organic, I like skim because it still has flavor. Any other skim is just watery and has no flavor, I feel.

  • I don't get milk all that often but when I do it's usually 2%.  DH didn't use milk until about 1.5 years ago when he started putting it in his coffee.  Now he uses coconut milk exclusively.

  • I use almond milk, H uses 1% and we buy whole milk for the baby. Lets just say I spend a lot of $ on milk!

  • We mostly use unsweetened vanilla almond milk, but we buy regular (usually skin, 1%, or 2%...whichever has the longest expiration date) for lattes and such. I always buy full fat cheese, sour cream, etc.

  • 2%. Mostly because I get sick off of whole milk.

  • Farm fresh goat milk!
  • @goatlady12 I've never had goat's milk, but one of H's coworkers raises goats and has brought us fresh goat cheese and goat butter. Mmmm!

  • I drink organic 1%.  2% and whole milk make me nauseous.  Skim makes me think I'm drinking milk flavored water.

@kittenwine Every time I go to buy milk, I think of that scene.

Cheese and butter and stuff I buy full fat.
