I confess that I'm equal parts excited about being away from J for 5 days and terrified. I know H is capable and everything will be fine. But, I've never not done bedtime. But, I get to sleep for 4 blissful nights uninterrupted!

My SIL really hurt my feelings (And D's although he won't admit it) by not inviting us to her graduation this week. We didn't even know about it until I saw a pic of her on facebook with her friends and she was wearing a gown. I think she is still mad at us for not attending her first graduation in 2012, but we both had to work and were saving days off for our honeymoon. Last year when she had her graduation for her Master's degree I asked her to let me know when it is because we want to go, and she said ok but never invited us. I didn't even know she would graduate with her second undergrad degree this year and am bothered that she didn't tell us or invite us.

She currently holds 2 under grad degrees and a master's. She is also starting her PhD this fall and she is only 24...makes me feel like a huge failure! Maybe that is my second confession today.

@ramstein1027 I only use water on my face because my face gets hives if I use soap on it.
I confess that I hope this is my last time being a bridesmaid. My friends wedding is tomorrow, and I think I've just been in too many weddings. I'd like to just be a guest from now on.

@kittenwine you are not a failure. You are a very talented photographer! You don't have to be drowning in student loan debt to be successful.

I feel successful in my own way (I'm a homeowner!) but it is hard marrying into an overachieving family sometimes.

@kittenwine you absolutely are successful in your own way. We can't always measure our successes by the same terms. I have a degree and a job in my field and I hate it. I don't feel successful that way. But I have a loving husband, a house, and eventually the opportunity to find what it is I love to do. Just remember we all make success our own way

@goatlady12 - I swear after this wedding coming up in August, I never want to be a BM again! I totally feel you!

I confess that I skipped out on a job networking event last night. It was pouring out and I was soaked (with an umbrella!). I turned around and went home! There was probably a low turnout anyway, who wants to walk from the Metro to where the event was in the pouring rain.

I found out yesterday that my middle sister's in the process of possibly separating from her husband. I confess that I accidentally phone creeped while we were at graduation and discovered that she was already talking to somebody else.

I confess that I just want to take my SIL and shake her to make her realize how lucky she is. She only sees the negatives in her life, meanwhile she does so many things that I wish I could do.
