I'm reading the House We Grew Up In by Lisa Jewell.  I'm about a quarter of the way through it and I'm still not sure if I like it or not.

  • I am re-reading HP and the Chamber of Secrets.  I just started it and I've literally fallen asleep the second DD does, so I haven't gotten to read much.  This weekend, I will probably finish it, or get pretty close.

  • I just finished Day Shift by Charlaine Harris and I really enjoyed it. I went back to Autobiography of a Fat Bride by Laurie Notaro and I am nearly finished with that, too. Then I will pick up (again) The Time Traveler's Guide to Elizabethan England. Someday I might actually finish that book.

  • Since I haven't been reading much lately I'm still reading Day Shift by Charlaine Harris.  I have to finish it this weekend so I can move on to another book.  It's #35 for the year.

  • I am reading The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins for IRL bookclub.

And reading The Cool Impossible by Eric Orton (because I am convinced that this book will help me become a better runner,  hahahahahahahaha.  Like that would ever happen)..

  • I have been reading Graceling, but I set it aside this week to read part 2 of the Malediction trilogy by Danielle Jensen Hidden Huntress, which was released Tuesday.  It's pretty entertaining so far.

  • I am between books at the moment, but thinking about picking up John Scalzi's Redshirts next, which I have heard is hilarious.

  • I'm undecided on what to read. I have The Storied Life of AJ Fickery or The City of Women.

Mockingbirds by Chuck Wendig. I've read his short stories and blog posts and adore them and Mockingbirds does not disappoint. I remember reading last year that this got picked up by a TV network for production (Starz maybe?), but haven't been able to find anything more recent about it. Anybody else hear any news? I think this would be so rad as a TV show.

I'm still half-assed listening to The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon. It's good, if a bit meandering, but I've been more in the mood for podcasts and music in the car lately.
