DH's Job :( Update!

Today DH was told by his school they are not hiring him back next year. We are completely shocked. He had excellent reviews on his teaching observations, his students' parents loved him, and everyone in the school commented on how big of an improvement his class had since he started in November. The lead teacher told him what he would be teaching next year several weeks ago and is also in shock. He was told by the principal he should be getting a raise next year and now this. We are both going to apply for teaching jobs to see who gets hired. This really stinks!

UPDATE:

Dh went to all the schools in our town today dressed up real fancy in a suit to inquire about the positions he applied online. He already lined up two interviews for Thursday. One of the schools is 5 mins away!!! He also did a video pre interview. Things are looking a little up.

Wow, that is crazy. I know it's probably too personal a question, but did they give a reason why? I really hope one of you can find something quickly. Maybe with less of a commute.

shellyamf They didn't give him a reason. He was the last one hired onto the team and possibly to the school since he was hired in November. It seems it may have come down to who was hired last. The thing that sucks is he moved to this school because he thought he old school would be closing and he wouldn't have a job. Here we are in the same position anyway. I am definitely hoping he gets hired to work in our town. That would be a silver lining.
