I have had ATT for a while now and just looked at straight talk. My current plan is similar go the $45 monthly unlimited with 30g data, but I would save almost $90 a month.

How easy is it to bring my phone iPhone 5s with all my contents in tack? Pics #s other documents etc.... I hate switching I ALWAYS lose someone's phone number etc....

Re: Straight talk vs ATT

  • I'm not very tech savvy, but if it's an Apple product, isn't there a way you can store all your phone contents at iTunes just in case they can't transfer it at the store?

Yes. There is. It's all connected to your apple account. We recently upgraded our iPhones while switching companies and EVERYTHING transfered, even notes and pictures, automatically.
  • Remove ATT SIM card.  Insert Straight Talk SIM card.  Use phone as normal.

We just did this going from Verizon to ATT with an iPhone 5.

    Daisypath Anniversary tickers
  • As a precaution I would do a full backup of your  phone to your computer before changing carriers.

  • Another vote for doing a full backup to your phone before switching. If you do that, you should just have to do an update to the new phone to get all the information back. And just to be really safe with your photos, you may want to transfer those to your regular computer or even facebook.

We just did this to go from Verizon to net10, and I'm glad we did. Nothing lost, same phone numbers and our bill is almost cut in half!
