21 books so good you wish they would never end

I saw this link on Facebook. I'm ashamed to admit I haven't read a single one (yes, not even Harry Potter), but it's summer reading season. Anyone have any other books to add to the list or praise for these books? I need something uplifting to read next.

Re: 21 books so good you wish they would never end

  • Loved Station Eleven!  And of course Harry Potter.

  • I read We Were Liars, and I don't think it belongs on this list.

I also read Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, and it was really good, but I don't know if it was so good I wished it would never end.
  • I also haven't read many of those, and they don't appeal to me either. I'm a fan of sci fi/fantasy, so my list would be totally different.

  • I was going to look at this, but it's one of those click lists instead of a scroll list and I REFUSE.

You could also make it display all the covers as thumbnails, though.  That's what I did so I could scan it quick.
  • I haven't read very many of those and am not really interested in the ones I haven't read.

I did not mind that The Neverending Story ended. I loved the first film, but I never really liked the sequels. And it turns out that most of the book is the plot of the sequels, so I was ready for the book to end about halfway through.

My version of the link let me scroll all the way down. Huh.
Also: a Jane Austen book on the list, I can see- lots of people love her books. However - an UNFINISHED Jane Austen novel? Not only will that reader be forced to slog through pages and pages but then not even have the gratification of the book finally ending! What kind of miserable tourturer thought that'd be a good idea? No thanks.
