Dh lost his job yesterday. Please tell me it will be ok. Please send t&ps that he will find a new job soon.
I'm making half of what I was at my old job. I cried a lot yesterday.

I'm so terribly sorry this happened. The only advice I can offer odds to try to remain as positive as possible (I know it's easier said than done). I went through this a couple of years ago when I was 5 weeks away from my due date and on sick leave. My hubby lost his job but it turned out to be a good thing. He was able to find a better job with better benefits. Hopefully this will be the case for you guys. Fx that he finds a new job quickly!

I'm so sorry!!!! You will get through this! DH and I were dirt-floor-poor the first year of our marriage, literally didn't make enough to pay our bills, but we managed. Some months I didn't know how we were going to afford groceries, but we scrapped our way through, and I finally got a job eventually. It was so hard, but looking back, it made us stronger. You have lots of people who love you and they won't let you starve or let you be out on the street, and that's really the important thing. Sending a million hugs your way!!

He was working in a warehouse handling hazmat. I've been on his case to get a new job. He had a work accident and inhaled a bunch of chlorine gas. Hopefully this is just a kick in the ass to get him into a new field. He had a chest xray a week after the incident, and they said he looked fine. Should I get another opinion?

I hope he can get unemployment. There was some sketchy business. I can't really post about it, but yes I feel him going in and having a chest X ray was one of the reasons he was let go. I think I'm calling an attorney Monday.

Even without the details, it sounds sketchy! I would think that it would be illegal to let someone go after there was an accident in their facility and he was seeking treatment for it. I hope he's able to get it sorted out! I'd definitely contact a lawyer.
