Which is the best Smoke/CO detectors available?

Home renovations are underway and this time we are planning to make few electrical wiring changes and also include couple of good CO detector. Recently, I came to know about Ontario region has made it a law to have one in each home, especially after a family got saved because of one of these detectors. With almost 1300 reviews and 4.5 stars, it is hard to believe the Kidde CO and Smoke Alarm isn't a really good choice. There is even a 6 pack if you need a number of them.
