I don't believe in trigger warnings. The world doesn't owe you anything. It is folly to think otherwise. I treat people with respect and dignity, but we can't all go around expecting other people to anticipate our neuroses. Unless you're within some kind of support group environment/situation, it's just a ridiculous thing to expect of strangers.

I went to a "Wine and Women on Wednesday" networking thing and I dropped my wine glass on the floor. It shattered into a million pieces and everyone stopped and stared at me. It was so embarrassing.

ETA- I dropped it while trying to get a picture with cupcakes to send to another friend. It turned out that in the picture I am holding a diet book.

My cw's last day is today and I don't even care. He started a year ago, and he was one of those REALLY REALLY smart people but no common sense/people skills.

@mana8503 I know exactly the type. I dated a guy like that. Very frustrating.

I confess that I am really jealous of my coworker who got the position that I also requested in our district wide transfers. I know that she has more seniority than I have, but I really wanted it. My school is getting worse by the minute and I am afraid of what things will be like next year.

My cousins quinceanera is tomorrow and I'm judging hard core. We got the invitation a week and a half ago and if getting it so late wasn't enough, there are a ton of etiquette issues. They listed formal attire required but then said no formal dinner. There were also several grammar mistakes. The line about the food read "no formal dinner, Devours only". I couldn't help but crack up when I saw that. The invitation itself was super tacky and cheap looking.

My cousins mom is a total bitch and tells her kids that my uncle screwed her over in their divorce, but he pays her $10k/month in alimony. She also bad mouths all the family and kept my uncle from us before they got divorced. So with all that history, it's hard not to be snarky.

@minionlover I pictured more cupcakes, but that it a good one. The book it pretty prominent in the picture. I would take a picture like that too

@mrshall1027 when you wrote that you were going to a quinceanera I was a little jealous. I went to one in HS and it was so much fun. Reading about this now, I'm not jealous anymore. I hope it isn't as bad as it seems it will be. I am not judging you for being judgy, your uncle's ex seems horrible!
