If you had a singleton after IVF...

When did you deliver? I read that IVF babies have a higher tendency of being be born before 37 weeks.

I need a crystal ball to tell me when this kid is coming.

What was your experience?

I may be a bad parent already, but I have no desire to go to 40w. OMG.
We had a scare and I spent 6 days in the hospital.  Everything is fine now, but I'm just done.  I obviously want him to cook until he is ready, but I hope he gets ready in the next 2-3 weeks.  :)

I'm glad he's still cooking! You must have been so scared in the hospital that long. Are you on bedrest now? You're not a bad parent at all for wanting him out. I just need the time to get things done, we still don't even have sheet rock up in her room. Still have to pick paint colors, and order carpet! That's the only reason I'm hoping for 40w. If we get done earlier, then I'll be just as impatient as you! :)

  • The baby was fine.  I was sick.  I did go in to preterm labor, but they were able to stop it.  WHile in the hospital for that, though, I was given lots of fluids and they somehow went to my lungs.  I couldn't breathe and had to be on oxygen for another 4 days.  Super fun.  It was scary, but I was constantly hooked up to machines that let me know that Baby was fine.  That was at 31/32 weeks and I just wanted to make it to 35 (Father's Day - this Sunday). Now the goal is 36/37.

No bedrest, but I'm on a strict "take it easy" plan.  No stairs.  No walks.  No lifting, etc.

That just sounds terrifying! I'm glad you're okay now! Hope little boy keeps cooking a couple more weeks and your body treats you nicer!

Good to hear everything is fine. The only thing I liked about hospital bedrest was hearing his heartbeat at least 3x a day.
