New house troubles and no new jobs yet
I am so bummed about so many things in life right now so I am venting. I really don't like my new house. We do not have central air conditioning and the window units are loud and not efficient. We got a new unit for the bedroom and it must not be installed right because it sounds like there is water inside it. We have a very large backyard so we purchased one of those 12 foot inflatable pools, but we are having trouble setting it up. It collapsed yesterday. I called a handyman to help us with it but he can't come until next week. I also miss my old neighborhood and the location where we used to live.
I have been applying to every teaching job opening that I see within an hour from where I live, but I have yet to even get one interview. DH has not been hired for a teaching position yet either and his school district told him today that he will be a paraprofessional again next year. :-( We will really, really be tight with our money if neither of us get a full time teaching position for the fall. I can't stand having so much stress in my life. I am trying to be happy for my daughter's sake, but it's not easy.
I am sure I will get used to living here but not sure we will get full time teaching jobs due to the job market being so tough right now. I spend hours job searching and it is time consuming, but I won't give up.

Just curious, but would you move somewhere else for a better job market? I honestly have no clue what the teaching job market is like. It sounds like it's tough everywhere.
I did get a call for an interview yesterday. Sadly, the school district is an hour away. I wanted to get away from a long commute, not add to it, but this is a full time position and we need the money.
