I'm a little miffed that DH's sister didn't bother telling HIM that she won't be able to come for his ordination tomorrow and instead relayed that information to me via facebook. It's not the fact that she can't come because she has very legitimate reasons but the fact that she's not told him herself that really suckas. He has worked for his entire life for this particular accomplishment and it's really important. She could at least have called him.

I'm usually off work on Fridays, and I came in today because I have two trials at the beginning of next week for which I'm not exactly prepared. My mom rearranged her day to watch my kids for me.

Yet here I sit, perusing NBC, shifting papers around my desk, doing pretty much anything but the trial prep I came in to do. My procrastination is strong today. I don't want to accept the fact that this one case is really going to trial. On Monday morning.

Huh- I am one of two at work today in my office. I'm wondering how I pulled the short straw without knowing.

I love my family. I do. You all know that. But the amount of time I have spent fantasizing about running off and starting over somewhere by myself is a little crazy. A la a Nora Roberts character in one of her novels. In this new life, I'd own this cute little house by myself and would work in a bookstore. Sigh.

I'm actually caught up at work for the first time in like a year. It makes me very unmotivated. I've spent a lot of time watching shows on Amazon Prime instead of doing work.

I bruised my tailbone at a concert on Wednesday and have been in a lot of pain. I was whining to my husband tonight that I was sore and ice cream would make me feel better....I just really wanted ice cream.
