2015 beach reads

I'm not sure if there's a similar thread here. Anyone have suggestions for good beach reads this summer? Last year I made the mistake of bringing The Fault and Our Stars to the beach as I heard it was quick...that taught me to do my research. Anyway, anything good new or old that makes a good, easy beach read?

Re: 2015 beach reads

  • When you say easy - do you mean as in light and fluffy and fun with a HEA ending?  Or easy like it grabs you and doesn't require a lot of attention?

  • I guess either. I'm thinking something 300 pages or less, preferably happy ending, at least nothing that will make you tear up in public. Something that doesn't require attention might be good too. I have "The Longest Ride" on my shelf to read eventually, is that ok or being a Nicholas Sparks book, will I want to cry?
  • Big Little Lies might be good. Not your typical HEA ending, but it's fun in its own way.

  • The Longest Ride will probably make you cry....that being said it's one of his better ones and isn't as tragic as some of them.

Mary Kay Andrews has some really nice, light, fluffy summery reads. I'm in the middle of Spring Fever and it's just refreshingly nice.
  • I second Mary Kay Andrews and would also add Claire Cook.

  • Mary Kay Andrews, Heat wave by Nancy Thayer, Joshlyn Jackson has some good ones.
