We talked about this several weeks ago. I went to DQ and tried one. Not as good as I had hoped!

Did anyone else finally get one?

Re: Jurassic World DQ Blizzard?

  • It's ok, but I still greatly prefer the Oreo blizzard.

  • Really? It looks amazing! I'll have to try it too and see if you guys are right. I'm partial to the Butterfinger one myself.
  • I never made it there. DQ is further from me than other ice cream places so I REALLY need to want it. My want for that specifically faded.

I like the stuff they put in blizzards but ice cream gives me such terrible brain freeze it isn't worth it. But I do love dipping DQ fries in their gravy, which is amazing and the closest thing to poutine I've ever had.

I'm allowing myself so very few blizzards these days, that I'm not trying anything new in case I don't love it :) I love the mini rolo and the Reese PB cup.

No where near me makes it right so I have to have NJ disco fries - still good (fries, gravy, mozzarella cheese), but not as creamy and amazing as real poutine.

I get offended when places don't do poutine properly. It upsets me greatly!

They don't call it poutine, so I accept it for that reason only.

  • Since I live in the Midwest now, I have had the privilege of trying poutine. It was really good! I'm curious though...how do you tell good poutine from not good poutine (the flavor, ingredients, etc...)?

Also, I haven't had the JW DQ blizzard, but it looks amazing!

Some places try to pass off poutine with shredded cheese. Real poutine uses cheese curds. And then it's taste.

Around here, we see poutine with all kinds of "toppings" (different meat, veggies, etc). I'm a poutine purist myself ;)
