It's Raven Boys reread time for me! No matter how many times I read this book (I think this is time 6 or 7), I still get just as sucked in every time.

I've also got A Court of Thorns and Roses going. I like, but not love it so far, but I trust Sarah J. Maas to bring it.

  • I just started the new Anita Blake last night, Dead Ice.  I really, really don't know why i can't quit this series.  I haven't loved the last 4 or 5. #45

I'm listening to Noggin by  John Corey Whaley.  It's such a bizarre concept, but I'm about 25% done and really enjoying it. #46

  • This week I finished Graceling by Kristin Cashore and Firelight by Sophie Jordan.  Graceling was very good with an incredible female main character. I really enjoyed the novel. Firelight was Twilight with draki. It was a novel about regular human high school kids where one character happens to be hiding wings and scales. I don't recommend it.

I've started The Iron King by Julie Kagawa. It's quite exciting, but I'll admit that it scares me a little bit. The fey world is creepy and unpredictable. I really like the characters that have been introduced, and there's quite the air of mystery. I'm devouring it.

Then I won't need to tell you that the rest of the series gets worse IMO. :)  I didn't mind Firelight so much, but the other two? Worthless.

The main storyline I maybe could have forgiven (not that it would tempt me to read the sequels), but the inner dialogue of Jacinda was such repetitive drivel. 'I have to be with Will but I can't be with Will but he's so hot but I can't be near him but I have to be near him to live' and on and on and on. I literally started skipping paragraphs, it was just endless and shallow.
