Re: Book Club Monday

  • Pet Sematary right now.

It might be my favorite so far this year, although re-reading The Stand was pretty awesome.  Larry Underwood is one of my favorite fictional characters.

  • @ramstein1027 I saw the movie adaptation of Pet Sematary when I was probably 12. It scarred me, my friend, and her brother for life and I will never, ever watch it again!! I think it was the little kid that did it for us. And we were young. lol. I was just talking about this Thursday night.

I finished The Last Anniversary by Liane Moriarty and now I'm reading The Good Girl by Mary Kubica. It's really, really good so far.

I can't choose just one for a favorite! I'd have to say Invisible by James Patterson, The Ship of Brides by Jojo Moyes, or The Book of Life (All Souls # 3) by Deborah Harkness.

  • I just started reading Stonewall by Martin Duberman. Given that it's Pride and the anniversary of the riots, plus the recent SCOTUS verdict on same-sex marriage, I thought it would be appropriate. My favorite from this year is probably Still Alice by Lisa Genova, even if it did make me do the ugly cry!

  • Reading - Next Always - Nora Roberts

Listening - Well of Ascension - Brandon Sanderson, then The Girl on the Train.

Favorite - (had to check my goodreads list)  Ooo so hard!  Either The final Empire - Brandon Sanderson, Just one day/year - Gayle Foreman or The life changing magic of tidying up (don't judge)

@ramstein1027 - HA!  Pet Sememtary.  I was like 4-5 when my older cousin let me watch it.  We lived in the apartments at the time, and I shared a room with my sister.  I just got back from cousin's house, went into my room and saw the outline of a cat (we didn't have a cat).  SCREAMED and hid in the bathroom.  My sister went to the fair and won a stuffed animal car...
