Friday - technically H and I get this day off, but we both have work we need to do.  We'll be on vacation at the end of the month, so we're going to use tomorrow to get a little bit ahead on our hours.

Saturday - I need to study for my comps and H is going to assemble our new grill (!).  Probably grilling out and then heading to my office to watch the fireworks.  I have a fantastic view of the mountain where they shoot off the fireworks.  My office is smaller than other associates at my level, but I have by far the best view of anyone in our office.  They keep offering to let me move, and I keep saying no...

Sunday - cleaning up and emptying out our kitchen for our remodel that starts on Monday!

Tonight H's family is going to the casino and we're invited. Obviously, we're not into gambling so we've used the work excuse but plan to meet them there for dinner.

Friday I'm getting to use comp time for the three out of four weekends I worked in June to take this day off. I would have taken it off anyways, but I'm glad to not have to use PTO!

Saturday and Sunday no plans yet. I honestly just want to sit in the yard and drink beer and nap both days. :)

  • We are headed back to my hometown to celebrate with my family. BBQ, fireworks, craft fair, fried food, and the biggest book sale around! I can hardly stand to wait. H loves this holiday and it is awesome to see him so happy.

  • Fri: I'm taking the kids to a friend's house for a play date (late morning) and lunch. H will probably work on our bathroom project. I'll have to get groceries in the afternoon.

Sat: our friends invited us to their lake cottage for some good old relaxing, cookout and fireworks viewing. Our kids are looking forward to playing with our friends' children and enjoying the sand/beach.

Sun: probably lots of housework, working on the bathroom, etc.

  • Tonight I have chiro and hair appointments (I'm excited for both! haha) and stopping at the store, then prepping the salad for the 4th.

Friday we're going to H's former supervisor's house for a cookout, should be fun.

Saturday my side does our city parade, a cookout at my parents', and fireworks. Food, booze and maybe a nap involved!

Sunday is free so far and either we'll lounge around or be proactive and work on landscaping. I sense the former will be more likely!

  • I am so excited for this weekend! It's the first weekend since before memorial day that we've been home!

Friday: H has to work, but I have the day off. I'm going to take the doggies to the "bark park" early, before anyone else gets there so new doggy can feel out the space without all the extra stimulation of other dogs. then I'm going to get grocery shopping done. I'm hoping to go swim laps at the pool, do some cleaning and get some gardening done....before my afternoon chiropractor appointment and rehearsal (ambitious plans...we'll see what actually happens)

Saturday: The production I'm in is marching in and performing at one of the local parades, so that's stolen my morning. We'll probably have some friends over for a low key BBQ and fire in the evening.

Sunday: I have rehearsal all day.

  • Friday- We are both off. Vet apt and who knows what else yet

Saturday- Picnic at neighbors lake house

    Sunday- Not sure yet

  • Friday- We're both off work, so it's going to be a mix of chores and fun. DH got a flat tire last night, so that's our first errand. Then brunch with our leftover June grocery money. Then I'm going to get my hair cut. We've got a couple craigslist sales that we're going to drop off. And we got two free tickets to the local indie movie house, so hopefully we find something we want to see on friday.

Saturday- H's old boss throws an annual fourth of july party on their land with a band and fireworks and food. We had to miss it last year, so we're really glad it worked out for this year. It's kind of a weird circle of people with a lot of politicos and politicians because we both used to work for the legislature and now H works for a statewide officeholder.

Sujnday- Church in the morning. If the rain stays away, and it probably won't, DH has golf plans. I likely need to come in to work for 3 or 4 hours of unpaid work. Hooray!
  • Happy 4th of July everyone!

Tomorrow: I may go diving with a friend, but kinda hope that falls through so I can just SLEEP.  In the evening we are going to see the drum corps that H used to be in perform.  He's crazy excited.

Saturday: We always go to a perfect 4th of July party at our friend's lake house.  It's just beer, water, good food, good people-what could be better?  We may bring the pup, which would sadly mean leaving before fireworks time.

Sunday: No plans!  Hooray!  I'll probably get a little work done since I'm running a big workshop on Monday.
  • Friday - Probably go buy some fireworks and go out to eat for dinner

Saturday - Swimming at the pool, then hanging out with MIL for her bday and catch a fireworks show

Sunday - Yoga in the morning and catching up with cleaning.

  • @hoffse Don't forget that all remodeling projects on MM REQUIRES lots of pictures of before, during and after.  Otherwise you get booted from the island.   ;)

Ha!  Don't worry - I'm going to start a thread on Monday with before photos.  It's supposed to be a 5-day remodeling timeline, so it should be a fun week for pics :)

5 days seems awfully ambitious, but he says he can do it and doesn't seem concerned about it.  He's got another kitchen lined up the week after ours.  We'll see!
