Nope. Working at one of the food stands. and eating too much.

She's not a kitten. She's five. She's a grey tortoise, and very mellow. Which is good, because our other cat is not mellow at all.

I haven't checked in in forever. P has been on call this past weekend and this week. He's been super busy and had to leave for calls pretty much every night. I feel like I've been going non-stop. Plus it seems like little things just keep going wrong. Over father's day weekend our fridge stopped cooling and we had to call a repair guy. Now the switch on our whole house fan broke so we can't turn it on. That's how we cool the house off in the evenings since we don't have air conditioning. Hopefully P can fix it this weekend. It's covered under our house warranty but we have a $50 deductible every time they come out and a new switch would be about $10. Speaking of we have someone coming to look at our hot water heater this afternoon since it's been providing less and less hot water these days.

So sorry Michele. All that sounds stressful. I am happy I rent because when something happens we call our landlord, however this current landlord isn't as great as our past one. On the flip side, we pay a whopping $1700 a month in rent and if we owned around here our mortgage/taxes would probably been a lot less.

Yikes, yeah we pay way less for our mortgage, taxes and HOA together. I'm thankful we got the home warranty. We only had to pay the $50 deductible for the fridge fix which was almost $300. I don't remember how much the heater was to repair. And they came back today saying they will replace the water heater. Downside is they only pay a certain amount on the water heater instead of paying for the whole thing. So we have to pay $645 to get it replaced. Luckily P gets 3 paychecks this month. And he had 21.5 hours of overtime for being on call last week so we should be able to afford that later this month.
