A Desperate Fortune (spoiler version)

Oh Mary and Hugh.  I love, love, love their story.    I couldn't love it more.  It was such a slow burn, but a beautiful one.   My heart was breaking and soaring at the same time at the end.

Sara and Luc? Meh, it was a bit vanilla and boring.  I would have giving them a 3 star rating, but I would have given Mary and Hugh a 6 if I could so I still gave it 5 stars!

I actually like Sara and Lucy. I'm not sure if I could have taken Denise's attitude if I were in her place.

  • Denise had attitude? I thought it seemed like she stayed out of their way. Sara and Lucky were ok, but there just wasn't much there. It was so strait forward that it didn't make it that interesting for me.

I was trying to be intentionally vague.  No clue why in a spoilers thread.  :o)

I didn't mean that she had an attitude but that it didn't seem to bother her.  That's what I couldn't have done.

  • Ha!  I gotcha now.  I know what you mean.  Even her explanation didn't quite cut it for me.  I can totally appreciate parenting a child after a divorce, but to be SO ok with watching your ex date someone else in your face is a bit much.
