NBR: I got a promotion!
I work in state government, so this is a rare day! The only way to get promoted around here is to apply for an audit and argue that you are already doing the work outside of your pay grade. I applied last summer, and it was denied a couple of months ago so I appealed. It shouldn't be this difficult to get recognition of your work, but whatever, I won the appeal, and got the promotion! The icing on the cake is that it is effective last August, so they owe me almost a year of back pay.
