Re: A little Jamie Fraser love from buzzfeed

  • I liked these.

HOWEVER, I liked them because it reminded me of the book. The show? Meh.

  • I want the volume 2 DVDeeeeeeeeeeees already!!
  • I like the show. I don't get why people don't like it.  It's entertaining.  I mean, it has differences for sure, but I guess they don't bother me....or maybe it's because I'm completely distracted by Jamie's hotness.
    Maybe.

    Probably.

    Maybe.

    Probably.
Because they leave out some of the most important parts and substitute them for 30 minute scenes that have nothing to do with anything.

Because the actor who plays Jamie can't act.

Ok, so yeah....Jamie can't act...like at all....but he's so prettttttty.  And yeah, I see what you mean, there were some scenes that had me a little confused because I couldn't remember it being in the book that way.  I think the only part where I really got upset is after the "scene" when Claire is bringing him back to life.  That scene was completely and totally done wrong and it  happened too fast.  That was such an important scene and it got rushed.

I like the show, too. The differences don't bother me so much.

Same here.  Maybe it's just that it's been so long since I read that first book, I don't even realize what's so different.

Yea, I've told people not to re-read the book before watching.

  • that's probably what has helped me.  It's been almost a year since I read Outlander and I finished the next 2 books--so I can't remember all the details of the first one.

I'm debating on reading Mockingjay again before November--I may just read it after for the same reason.

  • Meh...I don't love the show and I haven't done a re-read in years.  It's boring and doesn't seem to capture the essence of the book.  Jamie is hot but Claire is so effing annoying.  I love the actor that plays Dougal but that's about it.
